I recently searched for a baker in the Portland Metro area that would prepare a special occasion cake for my husband who was turning 50. We wanted a scary theme for his “Frightening Fiftieth” and Mary came thru with exactly what I wanted plus extra. Included in her creation was a fondant graveyard on top of one of her torte style cakes that featured miniature shortbread tombstones and white chocolate skulls surrounded by a custom chocolate fence and gate. The slicing cake was a fallen tombstone surrounded by dirt that was actually chocolate cake crumbs! In addition to her creativity, Mary also was very accommodating by delivering and setting up the cakes for me for the party. The texture and flavor was another treat. The praline bourbon pecan was absolutely sinful and the apricot cream cheese was a decadent combination with the white champagne cake. I have since ordered a wonderful birthday cake (Raspberry Bliss) that was equally as tasty.

I was the lucky recipient of a birthday cake from The Cake Goddess. I had her White Chocolate Ginger Tea Cake. Moist cake and creamy white chocolate is what you taste at first, then comes a delicate ginger and tea flavor …I lingered over every single bite, just to make sure I “tasted it all”. And it was gorgeous!

My Favorite Combinations

  • Deep Dark Chocolate Cake:  Super moist dark chocolate cake layers, filled and iced with chocolate truffle, finished with double drip ganache. Pure Chocolate!
  • German Chocolate Cake:  Moist milk chocolate cake layers filled and iced with rich coconut and pecan filling. A delicious favorite.
  • Chocolate Raspberry Bliss:  Your choice of Bridal White or Dark Chocolate cake layers filled with raspberry and iced with white butter cream.  Perfect every time.
  • Golden and Chocolate Cake:  Golden cake layers filled and iced with chocolate truffle.  This cake, when flavored with orange, is a wonderful childhood memory.
  • Sunshine Lemon Layer Torte:  Assembled European style using vanilla genoise, it is lightly soaked with lemon syrup and filled with thin layers of lemon curd then finished with lemon essence butter cream.
  • Fresh Banana Cake:  Layers of moist banana cake are smothered with vanilla whipped cream covered in a layer of fresh bananas and drizzled with chocolate. Covered in whipped cream.
  • Celebration Carrot Cake:  This cake is loaded with carrots, pineapple, coconut, golden raisins and walnuts.  Worth its weight in gold, it still holds the title of “cake”. Filled and iced with rich cream cheese icing.

There is a $10.00 delivery charge inside Portland city limits.  Outside of Portland, add an additional $1.00 per mile to the destination.

Alternatively, you may pick up your cake by arrangement when you place your order.
